How Can severe Loose Stools Along With Headache Be Treated?

I recently came home from Mexico and a week after returning I had a bout of diarrhea just for one morning. Then no BM for two days and then going once every morning but the stool is very soft at first then very loose resembling shredded wheat at the end of the movement I also had cramping and feeling uncomfortable and a headache. My dr prescribed one week of Cipro and I went for blood test and fecal sample. Everything came back normal. that was one week ago and I finished the cipro as prescribed but I am still feeling tired, headache, loose stool in the morning and just basically uncomfortable. ???

Hi,

This can be due to infection from bacteria or due to dietary change as you visited a new place. Persistent infection and adaptation of gut are probably taking time to return to normal. You have taken antibiotics but I think you should take a full dosage of antibiotics along with dietary adjustments.

I suggest you take light meals, use probiotic in diet and take plenty of liquids. You try Ofloxacin, Ornidazole and try Loperamide.

I hope you will feel healthy in a couple of days. Rest I advise you to adjust your diet as diet plays a major role in intestinal problems.
